About OR Registered Agent.org

OR Registered Agent.org is the best and most affordable registered agent in Oregon: $99 a year, the same at renewal.

Oregon business district

What it costs and what's included

Registered agent service in Oregon: $99/year. It renews automatically each year at $99 unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account.

State fees are shown separately from our fee. We collect them with your order and pay them to the state at cost when we file.

What isn't included

  • A virtual mailbox or mail forwarding. Everyday business mail is charged per piece to view, legal letters beyond the 3 a year are charged per piece, junk mail is discarded and packages are refused.
  • Filing your annual report. That is a separate service with its own fee plus the state's fee.
  • State filing fees of any kind.
  • Forming the company, or any amendment or reinstatement filing.

What we do

The plan covers the following.

A clean Oregon registered agent setup for $99 per year. You get the office address on file, scanned legal mail, and compliance reminders ahead of state deadlines.

  • A registered agent of record in Oregon, listed on your state filing.
  • We accept service of process and official state mail on your company's behalf.
  • Service of process and Secretary of State mail are scanned to your online account, with an email to you.
  • Up to 3 other official (legal) letters a year are scanned at no extra charge, for example letters from the IRS.
  • Annual report due-date reminders by email.

How mail works here: court papers and Oregon state mail come to us as your agent, and our address on your filings means yours stays out of the public database. We are built for legal mail, not everyday post. There is no charge to scan service of process the day it lands, a flat $15 to scan any other document, and postage at cost if you want the original in hand.

Once you complete enrollment, we coordinate with the Oregon Secretary of State on your behalf. For businesses changing their registered agent, we file the necessary paperwork (Oregon doesn't charge a fee for agent changes).

If you're forming a new business, we work with your formation documents to establish our service as your registered agent right from the start.

You receive portal access within one business day. After that, service of process and official Oregon state correspondence sent to our address are scanned and uploaded to your portal the same day they arrive. General business mail gets a 3-item/year courtesy scan allowance beyond that; physical mail forwarding of the paper original is available as a paid per-piece add-on — see the FAQ for the full mail policy.

Switching to us from another agent

Change of registered agent to us: $0 our fee + no Oregon filing fee = $0. The registered agent service itself is $99/year.

Oregon uses one filing for agent updates: the Information Change (Corporation/Limited Liability Company) form, filed under ORS 63.114 with the Secretary of State, Corporation Division. Oregon doesn't assign numbers to these forms; they carry only a revision date. You can submit the paper form by mail or fax, or handle the whole thing online through the Oregon Business Registry's Information Change option.

  1. Choose a new registered agent who qualifies under ORS 63.111. That means an individual who resides in Oregon or a business entity authorized here, with a business office identical to the registered office. The address must be a physical street address; Oregon specifically rules out commercial mail receiving agencies, mail forwarding businesses, and virtual offices.
  2. Complete the Information Change form (or the equivalent online filing in the Oregon Business Registry).
  3. Submit it to the Corporation Division. There's no fee to pay, so nothing slows the filing down.
  4. Confirm the update by checking your entry in the state's business registry search a few business days later.

The Oregon requirements behind the service

A registered agent is the person or company designated to receive legal documents and official state mail on behalf of your business. Every Oregon LLC and corporation must continuously maintain one, and the requirements live in ORS 63.111, which covers both the registered agent and the registered office.

ORS 63.111(2) lays out three categories of eligible agents:

  • An individual who resides in Oregon and whose business office is identical to the registered office
  • A domestic LLC, corporation, professional corporation, or nonprofit corporation whose business office is identical to the registered office
  • A foreign LLC, corporation, professional corporation, or nonprofit authorized to transact business in Oregon, again with a business office identical to the registered office

The common thread: whoever serves must actually operate from the registered office address. Individual owners with an Oregon street address often take the role themselves, especially early on.

Registered agent service renews automatically for another year on each renewal date, unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account, or give written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date. Renewal reminders go out about 60 days ahead.

You can cancel at any time from your online account or by contacting support. Cancelling does not by itself remove us as registered agent on the state record; a change of registered agent or resignation filing does that.

Anything already filed with the government is not refundable. Registered agent fees are not refundable once we or our partner have been appointed with the state. State fees are not refundable once paid to the state.
